When comparing metal and wood pallets there is virtually no contest. Metal pallets were designed as an alternative to wood and plastic pallets to advance and solve problems with modern manufacturing methods. Business is a serious game, and profits and losses are determined according to the methods you presently use to operate your business.

Studies and comparisons have been made, and the results in every category are unanimously in favor of metal pallets. But don’t take our word for it. Compare for yourself the advantages of metal pallets over wood and plastic pallets. And you will decide, as many other companies have, to use metal pallets. We want to reduce your overhead and increase you profits.

Necessary maintenance of warehouse racks periodically

Damaged racking or missing parts can result in wrecked stock and/or injured staff. Therefore it is important to have your racks inspected periodically to avoid such risks. Normally you would ask a professional company to do it or you can check it on your own. The operators would report if they find any damages during their work.

Pallet Rack Maintenance Frame Inspection

Columns
– Check the front and rear column of each upright for any damage due to pallet loading or forklifts
– Review for any twisting of the frame column

Bracing – Horizontals & Diagonals
– Inspect for any bent or missing horizontals and diagonals
– Check for broken welds
– Inspect that anchors are secured to the baseplate (typically two anchors per upright baseplate is recommended)
– Inspect for missing, or loose sheared anchors

Pallet Rack Cross Beam Inspection
– Check all beam to frame connections for missing safety clips or bolts
– Inspect for frontal damage or any downward impact
– Inspect for any bowing, bending, bent or twisted cross beams

Pallet Rack Wire Deck Safety Inspection
– Review each beam level for uniformily distributed pallet loads
– Inspect for any breaks in the welds on the mesh decking
– Inspect for any bowing or bending in the mesh

Pallet Rack Accessory Inspection
– Inspect that anchors are secured to the baseplate
– Inspect for any breaks in the welds

Pallet Rack Systems Maintenance

Drive In Rack
Broken down into Rails and Horizontal & Vertical Bolted Bracing
-Rails: Inspect for any rail deformation, plumpness of rail, any broken welds between arm and rail, and any loose or missing hardware
-Horizontal (Rail Diagonal) & Vertical (Back Diagonal) Bolted Bracing: Inspect for any bent or missing bracing, and any loose or missing hardware

Push Back Rack
Broken down into Push Back Rails and Push Back Carts
-Push Back Rails: Inspect alignment of rails, for any broken welds, for missing or loose hardware, and rails for debris and clean as required
-Push Back Carts: Inspect the alignment of carts, the flow carts, wheels to be replaced, for any loose or broken welds, and for any loose or missing hardware.

Customers always complained the racks were arrived with damages, scratches, or even collapsed in the container which makes difficult to unload them.

It is important to know that package and loading skills are key points as part of the quality. Some customers alway seek lowest prices but just forget these aspects that the manufacturers easily forget to do.

TOCO pays attention to the small details that give our customers more confidence in our quality!
